I have found all of these materials to be honest, open and full of God’s truths. Because of that, they continue to bless my life as I review their content over and over. A life changing book, CD, or DVD is a gift that keeps on giving.
Bibles:
Our most precious #1 resource is an easy–to-read Bible! The "old school" way of believing is that it has to be the King James Version or nothing. That’s cool if it works for you, but I can’t tell you how overjoyed I was when I found out that this is just not true! Frankly, nobody talks like that anymore, nor do my ears hear that way. The goal is to be in God’s Word and to learn; it doesn’t have to be hard!
The New King James Version is the closest to the King James that you can find, but much easier to read. I personally prefer: The New Living Translation, The Message, older NIVs (New International Version - 1984 version preferably), and the Good News Translation. If you like a lot of detailed description, then the Amplified Bible is for you. These are all written for easier reading and understanding, while keeping in line with all the intentions and content of the original text.
Another priceless resource is your local church. There you will be able to find an abundance of various helps for you and your family, including some relating to the following topics: marriage, parenting, addictions, life controlling issues, and so much more. The heart of the local church is to help you, so many times they will have some materials that will either be free to new members, or available at a lower price than retail.

It is a privilege and honor for me to share with you an awesome resource that came to me by way of God’s provision to execute His vision.
I have carried the vision of "A Hand to Hold Along the Road:-Lessons from the Backseat" for over fifteen years. However, as I carried this vision within in my heart, I also carried paralyzing fear. I foolishly focused on my complete lack of ability instead of focusing on God’s infinite ability, causing me to give this task back to Him many times over.
God blessed me with a precious treasure in New Fields Creative Services. Vincent Newfield’s editing skills was only part of all that this full service company provided. They also provided me with encouragement, direction and the priceless gift of prayer. Vincent Newfield literally pulled out of my heart what God had placed there. He skillfully crafted the text, helping it to be clear and readable.
Although this was no easy task, he did it with great integrity and finesse as he truly labored with me to give life to this project. His wife affectionately refers to him as a “wordsmith.” I must concur, for that he is!

Are you in need of someone to help you design a book cover or website?
Marjorie McAllister has been one of my sweeter provisions in this process. I met Marjorie in the "New Beginnings" class at our home church. After she had her darling daughter, Daisy, and I had major back surgery, we lost touch for a while. We hooked back up at a prayer meeting I had not attended for quite some time. I was thrilled to see her and to know she had become a part of an awesome group of ladies.
As we were parting ways she gave me her card. After briefly looking it over, I asked her what she did. She shared with me that she designs websites and book covers, etc.
The awesome thing about that meeting is, within the week before that, my friend and editor told me that I needed someone to design my cover and website. GOD IS SO COOL! I am in awe of His provision!
It has been a joy working with this sweet and awesome woman of God! Her heart is to design and create something that will please her customers. She has an amazing gift of being able to take even the subtlest cue or intent and then translating it to your project.
